25th May 2026, Gilles Froment, President of the International Dairy Federation Fédération Internationale du Lait (IDF), and Helle Huseby, Chair of the Standing Committee on Dairy Policy and Economics, visited #Mengniu Dairy (Ningxia) Co., Ltd. to understand Mengniu's innovative practices in intelligent manufacturing and sustainable development. Mengniu Vice President and Head of Mengniu Global R&D Innovation Center, Wen Yongping welcomed the IDF delegation and both sides exchanged views on #dairy #technology #innovation and green development.
The Mengniu Ningxia plant is one of Mengniu Group's leading Smart factories globally and the world's first certified "lighthouse factory" for liquid milk. President Froment and the IDF delegation visited the Smart factory demonstration area, the demonstration area of six intelligent operation modules, the #Telunsu brand culture exhibition hall, and toured the intelligent procurement center and intelligent laboratory, experiencing firsthand Mengniu's innovative achievements in empowering the entire industry chain through digitalization. President Froment highly praised the modernization level of the Mengniu factory, particularly affirming Mengniu's outstanding performance in efficiency improvement, quality control, and safe production.
Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on the #sustainable development of the dairy #industry. Chairman Froment introduced the latest progress in the global dairy industry's green and low-carbon transformation, stating that there is broad scope for exchange in areas such as carbon footprint management and energy conservation and emission reduction.
